Caraquet, NB - Feb 3, 2025

UNI Financial Cooperation is pleased to announce the appointment of Éric St-Pierre as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 3, 2025.

"We are pleased to promote Éric St-Pierre to this key position," said David Losier, Chair of the Board at UNI. The Board set out an exhaustive hiring process several months ago. “ We found a proud Acadian with the values and skills we sought — someone who knows our institution, employees, partners, and opportunities well. It turns out that Éric was the candidate of choice, and he was already with UNI."

The Chair also noted that Éric St-Pierre has been part of the cooperative movement since 2003 and has held various positions of responsibility, including vice president of Finance. "Éric knows the value of our credit unions' community engagement. He was present when UNI became the first Canadian credit union under federal charter. His commitment, in-depth knowledge of the organization, and leadership are valuable assets for the evolution and development of UNI," said David Losier.

"I am honored and proud to accept this great responsibility and to continue serving UNI. I am aware of the importance of UNI for our Francophone and Acadian communities," said Mr. St-Pierre. "I look forward to continuing to work with our dedicated employees and to pursuing improvements to meet the needs of our members and clients."

Éric St-Pierre will succeed Camille H. Thériault as head of UNI Financial Cooperation. “His presence and support were an anchor for many when he returned in August 2023. We are extremely grateful for his unwavering dedication to our financial institution,” concluded President David Losier.
