Global change agent and expert in talent-led growth Lindsay Osmond joins Boyden to re-shape the future of executive search
EDMONTON, ALBERTA, September 23, 2020 – Boyden, a premier leadership and talent advisory firm with more than 70 offices in over 45 countries, today announced the opening of its latest office in Canada, in Edmonton, Alberta, led by new Partner Lindsay Osmond.
Upon making the announcement, Robert Travis, Managing Partner, Boyden United States and Canada said, “Serving our many clients in Northern Alberta has always been a priority to us at Boyden. We are thrilled that Lindsay will lead the office, bringing her exceptional drive and business leadership to clients and colleagues throughout Canada and worldwide”.
Lindsay brings to Boyden Canada a suite of skills and expertise that refreshes the team’s approach to leadership consulting and executive search. As industry redefines itself to create value, she will extend Boyden’s reach into new talent pools and concepts of leadership for the future, drawing upon a mindset that combines business with people. In her career as VP of HR and as an executive partner to leaders of prominent industrial organizations, Lindsay achieved business impact through the enhancement of company culture, capabilities and workspaces. With finely honed expertise in talent acquisition, talent management, leadership development and employee engagement, she has contributed strategic solutions to support business goals and increase profitability wherever she has been.
With widespread interests in her local community, Lindsay is involved in sports through her two boys, as well as serving as a non-executive director of Women Building Futures. She is also active in the space of equity, diversity and inclusion, where she focuses on being both an ally and advocate to the trans community, in addition to supporting women to build more inclusive workplaces. She holds a BA in Psychology and B. Mgt in HR and Industrial Relations from University of Lethbridge, and an Executive Education Certificate from Queen’s University.
Following Boyden’s office opening in Saskatchewan last June, Kevin Gregor, Managing Partner, Boyden Canada commented, “Geographies are important and this expansion is part of Boyden’s strategy to adapt and change to fit a new world. Bringing in Lindsay will help us to progress in our thinking, prepare for the future and evolve the shape of our business, and more broadly our industry”.
Trends driving this evolution include client demand for services such as interim management, leadership consulting and expertise in diversity and inclusion across the spectrum of gender, cognitive and racial richness.
Taking up her appointment Osmond said, “The world is shaking us up and it’s an opportunity to think differently about connecting the next generation of great leaders to companies of the future. I have never settled for the status quo in my career and I am a strong advocate for people, all people, with their unique personal and professional aspirations. Companies grow when people grow, so I create spaces for people to be their best selves and to excel in leadership”.
Gregor added, “Boyden is growing, and greatness is created in challenging times. This is the time to be great, to look at ourselves and come out of this transition period even stronger. Lindsay will change us on the inside and the outside”.
