After a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process, the Board of Directors of Arnprior Regional Health (ARH) is pleased to announce Jeremy Stevenson as its next President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Jeremy is a results-oriented healthcare leader with extensive experience within both acute and long-term care settings.
“Our recent recruitment process yielded exceptional candidates, and the Board is confident that Jeremy will be the right person to continue our work in providing excellent quality care every day and to guide ARH forward in the coming years,” said Cathy Jordan, Board Chair.
“Jeremy has an impressive reputation as an inclusive and strategic leader in health care systems across rural Ontario and we are particularly excited by his demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships within the communities that he has served” said Oliver Jacob, Board Vice Chair. “Jeremy will be a strong, people-focused leader to steward the organization as we continue to build on the leadership of current CEO Leah Levesque, who has focused on building a thriving community together with our partners.”
Jeremy is currently the CEO of St. Joseph’s General Hospital Elliot Lake (SJGHEL), responsible for the Hospital, Long-Term Care Home, and Addiction Treatment Services for Elliot Lake, and the only secondary care services (Intensive Care, Surgical Services, CT scan, Obstetrical Services, Oncology and Dialysis Services) along the 3 ½ hour corridor between Sudbury and Sault St. Marie.
He has held numerous positions across Ontario’s health care sector, including as CEO of the North East Local Health Integration Network (NE LHIN), CEO of the Mattawa Hospital and Algonquin Nursing Home, and Chief Operating Officer of the St. Francis Memorial Hospital and Community Health Center in Barry’s Bay. He was also part of the Senior Leadership Team of Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH).
He holds a Master of Health Administration, a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Ottawa as well as the Administrator Certificate in Long Term Care from AdvantAge Ontario. He is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) & the American College of Health Executives (ACHE).
“My family and I have been looking forward to settling back home so I am very excited to be joining the ARH team and becoming part of the Arnprior area community,” said Jeremy. “I will do all I can to help build on the great work currently underway at ARH and provide support, leadership, and direction on where the staff, physicians, patients, and the community would like to see Arnprior Regional Health be in the next few years.”
