North York General is delighted to announce Paul Truscott Jr. will be joining North York General Hospital (NYGH) as its Vice President Finance, Data Analytics & Chief Financial Officer, starting on January 6, 2025.
This key senior leadership role will contribute to NYGH’s transformation, growth and financial sustainability as we embark on our new Strategic Plan.
Paul comes to NYGH from Health Sciences North, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He brings more than 30 years of wide-ranging experience in public and private healthcare organizations in Ontario, including leadership roles at GTA, northern and rural hospital organizations.
In addition to extensive experience in finance, decision support and hospital operations, Paul has expertise in capital project funding, including working with the Ministry of Health, municipalities and other stakeholders to negotiate cost-share agreements.
A life-long learner, Paul has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology, a Master of Business Administration, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and a Certified Health Executive (CHE) with the Canadian College of Healthcare Leaders, among other credentials.
North York General would like to recognize and thank Peter Wegener for his strong financial stewardship during his tenure as Interim CFO and for supporting Paul as he transitions to his new portfolio.
