The Region of Waterloo has announced a new Commissioner of Engineering and Environmental Services.
Jennifer Rose will join the region on September 19.
Rose is currently General Manager of Environmental Services with the City of Guelph.
The region's Engineering and Environmental Services Department is responsible for such services as water, waste management, as well as road construction.
As part of the region's leadership team, Rose will help plan for a significant population increase as the area is expected to reach close to one million people over the next three decades.
