The Board of Directors of Enova Power Corp. and Enova Energy Corporation are pleased to announce Greig Cameron as the new President and Chief Executive Officer of the Enova Group of Companies effective July 17, 2023. Greig will be replacing Co-CEOs Rene Gatien and Jerry Van Ooteghem who will be retiring after long successful careers with Enova’s legacy utilities Waterloo North Hydro Inc. (WNH) and Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro Inc. (KWH) respectively.
Greig is currently the Vice President of Innovation and Business Transformation at Enova with overall responsibility for the organization’s people and culture, innovation, business development, post-merger integration, corporate communications, and meter-to-cash operations. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Engineering and Information Technology at Kitchener-Wilmot Hydro (KWH) since 2016. His career at KWH began in 2004 as a Distribution Engineer. Before joining KWH, Greig was employed by the Jamaica Public Service Company, a vertically integrated electric utility company, where he held various positions in engineering and operations.
“Greig’s extensive professional experience, combined with his leadership skills, and thorough understanding of the rapidly evolving electricity industry make him well-suited to lead Enova as a strong community partner, committed to helping customers achieve their energy goals today and into the future,” said Rosa Lupo, Board Chair, Enova Energy Corporation.
“Greig has a strong record of inspiring and mobilizing diverse, cross-functional teams to achieve a shared vision and common purpose while delivering exceptional results, which we believe will ensure Enova continues to deliver safe and reliable energy solutions that power our communities forward,” said Steve McCartney, Board Chair, Enova Power Corp.
Greig is a Professional Engineer with over twenty-five (25) years of progressive leadership experience in the electric utility industry. He holds a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems, and a Masters Certificate in Energy Sector Leadership.
“I am very excited and grateful for the opportunity to lead some of the most talented and dedicated individuals in the electricity industry and serve this great community of ours,” said Greig Cameron. “With the team’s knowledge, experience and forward-thinking, Enova is well-positioned to drive what’s next in energy and sustainability for our communities and beyond.”
