Overview
Shared insights about understanding how people successfully landed their seats on corporate boards. Dr. Keith D. Dorsey interviewed corporate directors to discuss their career paths and recruitment process. His conversations revealed that recruiters and boards sought and pre-vet C-suite candidates who resembled current and past directors. Thus aspiring directors and directors seeking their next corporate seat, who aren’t doppelgängers, need to build a robust and healthy social network filled with individuals who know you - and know what you want to accomplish. Dr. Keith D. Dorsey will share his recent HBR article and his recommended four strategies to achieve a board seat.
