After consulting with key stakeholders at Coulson Aviation, the following opportunities and challenges were identified for the new Vice President, Finance.

During the 1990s, the Coulson Group expanded into aviation and have become global leaders in aerial firefighting, emergency personnel transport and other heavy lift operations with an employee base of over 550 people.

Majestically located on a deep-water ocean inlet in the south-central heart of Vancouver Island, Port Alberni is a friendly and affordable lumber and fishing town with a bright future as an incredible outdoor adventure location.

The Vice President, Finance (VP, Finance) assists the Corporation in reaching its growth plans by having overall responsibility for all day-to-day accounting practices and procedures for multiple Group entities, and by providing leadership to administration and accounting staff. 

The ideal candidate brings demonstrated success in progressively senior positions in an accounting/finance role with specific cost accounting expertise, including at least 8 years in a management or leadership role where they would have been responsible for all aspects of a finance department.
